Fall 2022, Book Cover Series

This project is a series of Book covers created in photoshop. They are all part of a fictional series by one of my favorite authors, Shannon Hale. 

The illustrations were hand drawn and then scanned. I used various blending modes, brushes and images to create the backgrounds. I wanted them to all have a cohesive design and be recognizable as from the same series. I pulled elements from each story to create the main illustrations. While the reader might not understand the images right away, after reading the book they would become clear making it almost like a fun puzzle to put together.
